We have senior stylists that have been trained in all forms of hair crafting and styling to suit all of your needs. Nearly all of our highly motivated and trained staff have been hair designing for more than 20 years.

Tangles has been a Redken 5th Ave Color Salon since it’s opening in 1992. Our highly trained stylists travel to New York annually to train with Redken’s top educators.
With this knowledge, we are able to bring back the latest hair techniques to our clients. Our new owner was a L’Oreal Professionel educator for 7 years and is happy to introduce the line to Tangles.
Tangles Salon is now an Elite L’Oreal Professionel Salon carrying the exclusive L’Oreal Series Expert hair care line. We also carry Redken, Pureology, Nioxin and Brocato products.
We recently added Brazilian Blowout and Deva Curl and INOA Non-Ammonia Permanent Hair color. For make-up we carry the renowned Jane Iredale Makeup line. And happy to announce we are now offering the New York “blow”dry service and product in Old Town Pasadena.

In 2009 Our team of stylists booked over 50 plus hours of intense education in color, cutting and the latest treatments available.The highlight was our annual off-site educational trip this past Fall; we traveled to lovely San Francisco to attend L’Oreal’s affiliate DiPietro Todd Academy for hands on training. We selected the right weekend because we were able to also attend their Winter Collection V2 Hair and Fashion Show. It was amazing to learn new techniques in color and cutting; then see these looks at their amazing event.
2010 Annual Education trip -Tangles Staff Just back from our training with The David K Space in Florida, a L’Oreal Professionel National Accademy. The David K Space closed their salon off to the public and exclusively welcomed Tangles Staff to 2 days of hands-on education and professional inspiration. Our team learned a new technique for seamless blending; a great way to layer hair without losing length and create movement. David K was amazing and his director was none other than Shear Genius Season 2 Cast member Parker Plotkin. Parker coordinated our team and his staff with live models to perfect seamless blending.
